# Connect a mailbox

Reach-book.com sends from your own email account, so replies land in your normal inbox too. Open **Workspace settings → Mailboxes & connections**.

The SMTP dialog has presets for Gmail, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Yahoo, iCloud, Fastmail, GMX and Yandex, or choose **Other or custom server**.

Use Google or Microsoft whenever you can. SMTP can only send: it can't read replies or confirm delivery, so it can't run follow-up campaigns.

## Default sender and sharing

* Set one mailbox as your **Default sender**.
* Under **Who can use it**, share a mailbox with teammates for sending, reading conversations, or both. See [Share a mailbox](/reach-book.com-docs/team/share-a-mailbox).

## What Reach-book.com reads

Only replies to threads Reach-book.com started. Nothing else in your mailbox is read.
